Mom Faces Backlash For Letting Baby Crowd-Surf At Flo Rida Concert

Most people were concerned about the baby’s safety as the rap star performed with high energy clutching the baby in his arms.

Flo Rida has found himself in hot water after a video went viral showing him receiving a baby that was passed to him from the crowd during a recent concert in Erie, Pennsylvania. The footage from this year’s “Celebrate Erie” festival reveals that instead of the crowd lifting the baby onto the stage, it ended up in the rapper’s arms while he was perched atop his security team’s shoulders. As he performed his hit track “Low,” the baby transitioned from his arms to his hip, and Flo Rida even shared the microphone with the young co-star. But the baby-centered festivities didn’t stop there.

He continued holding the baby for a while, even as he returned to the stage. Amid his performance with his hype man and band, he raised the baby skyward in a Simba-like gesture. Social media exploded with reactions, many of them aimed at the mother’s actions.

“How does a mother just let go of her baby so easily like that? Lol,” one individual questioned. Another Twitter user remarked that the baby was “probably so confused,” met with a reply of “We all are.” Others questioned why the baby was even at the concert in the first place.

Some took a lighthearted approach, pondering, “I wonder how you claim your baby back?”

“The fact that Flo Rida put the mic up to the baby as if they were gonna start singing ‘Low’ word for word is hilarious,” someone chuckled. Yet, amidst the humor, most people expressed concern for the baby’s well-being.

“Personally, I wouldn’t want a bunch of strangers touching my infant child, but that’s just me,” one person tweeted, while another asserted, “There’s no way I’d let a group of Flo Rida fans carry my baby to the stage like that, over my dead body.”
