DRAKE REVEALS HIS SON ADONIS DESIGNED THE COVER ART FOR HIS NEW ALBUM ‘FOR ALL THE DOGS’

Drake isn’t just about making music waves, he’s got his son Adonis in on the creative action too. The rap heavyweight just unveiled the cover art for his upcoming album, For All the Dogs, and guess who designed it? None other than his own five-year-old son.

This ain’t your typical album cover. Drake gave his Instagram followers a sneak peek on Monday (August 21), showing off a drawing of a dog that Adonis whipped up. Against a bold black backdrop, this cartoon dog stands out with its snowy white fur and those haunting red eyes, setting the stage for what Drizzy’s cooking up next.

Drake captioned the reveal with a simple “FOR ALL THE DOGS. Cover by Adonis.” The unique artwork sparked a frenzy of reactions from fans and peers alike. Heavyweights like The Game, Sexyy Red, Hit-Boy, Jim Jones, and Juelz Santana showed love with fire emojis. A$AP Nast even chimed in, jokingly calling it a “demon.”

While this album cover holds sentimental value as a creation from his son, it’s a departure from Drake’s usual style. Remember back in 2021 when he had famed British artist Damien Hirst cook up the cover for Certified Lover Boy? That one featured pregnant women emojis. And who can forget the iconic artwork for Nothing Was the Same in 2013, with Drake facing off with his younger self under a sky painted by Kadir Nelson, the same artist behind Michael Jackson’s work.

This new cover does throw it back to his 2015 mixtape If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, with its raw feel, but whether this new project will channel the same vibes remains to be seen.

The album, For All the Dogs, was teased by Drake in June, around the same time he announced his debut poetry book, Titles Ruin Everything: A Stream of Consciousness.

He’s not just dropping clues though; Drake is whipping up anticipation while on his It’s All a Blur Tour with 21 Savage. He’s been teasing fans with updates and even showed up wearing dog masks to the arenas.

At his Chicago tour kickoff, Drake hinted that this album will give fans a taste of “old Drake.” He shared, “I got an album coming out soon for y’all. It’s called For All the Dogs. I always hear people talking about, ‘Damn, we miss that old Drake.’”

And the nostalgia isn’t stopping there. Drake revealed that his old pal Nicki Minaj will be hopping on at least one track.

While there’s no official release date yet, Drake’s promise during a show in California has fans excited. “It’s coming real soon. It’ll belong to you very shortly.”

If this album indeed drops by the end of August, it’ll be Drake’s fourth full-length release in just two years. With Certified Lover Boy, Honestly, Nevermind, and Her Loss with 21 Savage all packed into this prolific period, Drake’s certainly making his mark.
