CARDI B ADDRESS MIC THROWING INCIDENT THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO LAND HER IN JAIL

Cardi B has opened up about the mic-throwing incident in Las Vegas that almost resulted in felony charges against her. In an interview with The Breakfast Club, the “Bodak Yellow” superstar revealed how deeply the incident affected her.

“It was a really quick reaction,” she explained. “And let me tell you — I didn’t want to address it because I thought I’d end up in jail. But I’m not.”

Cardi described the extreme heat in Las Vegas that day, emphasizing that it was scorching. During her performance, she had asked the audience to “splash” her to cool down. However, despite her caution about not messing up her makeup, someone threw water and ice on her face several songs later, prompting her immediate reaction.

She went on to express how violated she felt by the incident. Last month, it was revealed that Cardi B would not face criminal charges for the microphone toss in Las Vegas back in July.

Her attorneys issued a statement confirming that no charges would be filed, thanking the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept. for their prompt handling of the matter. The incident occurred during a performance at an outdoor event in Las Vegas when a fan threw a drink at Cardi while she was singing “Bodak Yellow.”

This prompted her to angrily throw her microphone into the crowd, although it’s unclear if she hit the person responsible for the drink. Despite the incident, Cardi continued her performance, even urging fans to throw water on her as the temperature soared to 105 Fahrenheit that day.
